ARTSED WINS ‘SCHOOL OF THE YEAR’ AWARD 2015

The Independent Schools Association (ISA) has awarded its annual Excellence Award to Arts Educational Schools. "The award was given in recognition of excellent academic standards, alongside specialist performing arts provision and record numbers of pupils achieving places at universities and conservatoires," said the ISA.  "The School has also achieved impressive increases in pupil numbers over the past two years and introduced new curriculum innovations.  It has opened the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Theatre and is also engaging in important work with the local community."

Head teacher Adrian Blake said:  "My staff and I are delighted to win this prestigious award. We strive to provide our students with a great education, encourage them to be independent thinkers and enable them to continue their studies at some of the finest colleges in the country."

Jane Harrison, ArtsEd Principal, added: "This award is a vote of confidence in our work, a tangible seal of approval from our peers and further demonstration to parents, if any were needed, that sending their children to ArtsEd is a wise move."

The future of this country’s theatre tradition depends on centres of excellence, such as the Arts Educational Schools London. Working with young performers is a particular passion of mine and I am delighted and honoured to be their President.
