Support Our Scholarships

As pressure on student funding increases so does the need for scholarship funding in each of our schools. There are two ways to support sixth form school or student scholarships:

  • You can make a donation of any amount to the ArtsEd Fund. Sixty per cent of the fund is used to support scholarships each year and you choose which school to support.
  • You can create a named scholarship in the name of an individual or organisation. A three-year student scholarship requires an investment of £25,000 while a two-year scholarship for the ArtsEd sixth form requires £28,000. (This is because students are eligible for loans of £6,000 per year while under-18s are not).

Create a Named Scholarship in Just Four Steps

Step One - Create a named scholarship in honour or memory of:

  • a friend
  • a community leader
  • a graduating class
  • a graduating student
  • a loved one
  • a staff member or former teacher
  • an organisation

Step Two - Select the type of scholarship you wish to create
You can choose between a two-year sixth form scholarship or a three-year BA Scholarship in Acting or Musical Theatre. The sum can paid as one gift or over three years. Students in receipt of support are expected to update the relevant donor on their progress unless the donor chooses otherwise.

Step Three - Select your payment option
You can fund your newly created scholarship by cheque, debit or credit card.

Step Four - Finalise your scholarship agreement by contacting:
supportus@artsed.co.uk

Legacy Giving  - Remembering ArtsEd in your Will

We understand that decisions concerning your will are very personal and that the interests of your dependents will no doubt be your first priority. However, legacies have become increasingly important to the future of organisations such as ArtsEd and we hope you might consider supporting future generations of students by including us in your will.

As we are a registered charity, a gift in your will to ArtsEd (Charity No.311087) is exempt from inheritance tax. It is also strengthened by legislation introduced in 2012 which allows for a reduction in the inheritance tax (from 40% to 36%) to those who leave 10% or more of their net estate to charity.

Please contact the Director of External Relations to obtain more information or to discuss your will in confidence on 0208 987 6666 or email supportus@artsed.co.uk

Help Train Tomorrow's Talent Today

A gift to ArtsEd is an investment in our students.  We are proud to be one of the nation's top drama schools and even prouder of our graduates who are shaping their lives and the profession. Your gift will help us to develop the very best talent whatever the individual's means or background.

Ofsted agrees that our training in musical theatre and acting for film and television is simply the best in the UK.  It has rated us as ‘outstanding’ and declared that ‘Arts Educational Schools trains students to be the very best musical theatre performers in the country.’ (Ofsted, 2012).  The School of Acting was praised for its unique focus on film and television as well as stage training: ‘Students graduate with an extremely high level of knowledge and understanding of life on a film and television set, and are well grounded, artistically, creatively and practically. ArtsEd is an excellent place for actors wanting to work in film and TV.’

Our independent day school for 11-18 year olds is also highly regarded, with our teaching, learning and pastoral care rated as ‘excellent’ by the Independent Schools Council. While our part-time courses provide training opportunities for all ages and levels of experience, enabling everyone to take part in the ArtsEd experience.

Looking back on ArtsEd, it was truly one of the greatest environments – the school provided a solid platform for me to transform, learn and grow, especially the ever supportive, talented, hardworking and INSPIRATIONAL film department.
