EXCELerate Courses - Professional Drama School Audition Preparation
Prepare for drama school auditions and degree level training on part-time Excelerate Courses in Acting and Musical Theatre.
Applications are now open to join us in September 2017
EXCELerate Courses in Acting and Musical Theatre are intensive evening courses, focused on skills training and audition technique. These unique courses run from September to early March, three evenings a week and 4 intensive Sunday's, ensuring that you are fully prepared for the busy audition season in the Spring.
The courses culminate with a professional audition panel, workshop and interview that is filmed so that you can evaluate your performance. You will also be given individual feedback from ArtsEd staff and top industry professionals.
These courses are ideal for those who are considering applying for undergraduate performing arts courses, those who have been unsuccessful at drama school auditions and those who are taking a gap year.
The Excelerate courses will give you the confidence, focus and tools to ensure that you are fully prepared for auditioning for professional vocational training.Chris Hocking - Director of the Schools of Acting & Musical Theatre
Why Choose EXCELerate?
Securing a place at the top drama schools is hard. There are thousands of people applying for on average 35 places per course. It is also an expensive process with audition fees and travel costs. Don't waste your moment by not being fully prepared.
The course also allows you to evaluate if the world of Performing is the correct career path for you. We will open your eyes to other avenues which you may not have considered. During the course you will be guided and supported towards your goals by a personal tutor and by the teaching staff, whether that be applying for drama school, university or strengthening your acting techniques. It is critical that you have ownership of your process and this course will give you that confidence.
The Excelerate courses allow you to train in an intensive and focused way whilst giving you the opportunity to work to support yourself financially. A balance between work and training can be an enriching experience that develops you as a person. The course will be complete by the beginning of March which allows you to focus on auditions, future plans or travelling.
We are very proud of those who graduated this year. Many of the 2016-17 graduates have been offered places at the top Drama Schools including ArtsEd's MT and Acting courses.
