Acting – Outreach Workshop

A two hour workshop that gives participants an exciting and inspiring insight into life at drama school and ArtsEd’s contemporary, inclusive and engaging approach to actor training.

Overview

The session starts with warm ups for the voice and body before the group embarks on a series of exercises that focus on the exploration of character. The session is designed to resemble the classes taken by our first-year degree students.

The masterclass is followed by a Q&A that gives students the opportunity to find out more about our training and our audition process direct from ArtsEd tutors.

Our 50:50 split between training for the stage and screen is a unique strength of our BA course. The session ends with the group watching extracts from our graduates’ showreels that demonstrate the standard and scale of our commitment to developing screen technique.

Number of students Maximum of 35
Duration 2 hours (Masterclass 1 ½ hours Q&A and Showreels ½ hour)
Space required 1 x large drama space with video screen
