The London Cuckolds
Three beautiful wives, three ludicrous husbands and one overly ambitious, rapacious rake are the seductively delicious and comic ingredients of this classic Restoration farce. First performed in 1681, The London Cuckolds was written by Edward Ravenscroft. Three centuries later, Terry Johnson's frank and fruity adaptation proves this seminal comedy to be a precursor to modern farce. Please note this is an abridged version of the full text.
The Comedy of Errors
Two sets of identical twins get mixed up and separated at birth. Twenty years later Antipholus searches the world for his long lost brother, finally disembarking on the island of Ephesus. In the space of two hours island life gets dramatically turned upside down through farcical cases of mistaken identity and slapstick humour.
