ArtsEd is an energetic, creative space in which highly talented young people are supported to achieve to the best of their abilities in both vocational and academic studies. Our mission is to create outstanding and innovative young performers equipped for the constantly evolving demands of today’s performing arts industry.
We employ around 170 people in a variety of teaching and support roles, as well as many more on a freelance basis. The commitment and motivation of all of our staff is tangible, creating a workplace where people feel comfortable to be creative, open and able to give their best.
In 2019 we were awarded TEF Gold, the highest rating from the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework and, for the third year running, we were ranked in the top-five drama schools for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey. ArtsEd Day School & Sixth Form enjoys a consistent position as the most academically successful performing arts school in the UK. All pupils are inspired by a strong sense of family and shared purpose to achieve their full potential right across the curriculum. And outside of school hours, we offer a wide range of evening, weekend and holiday courses for all ages and abilities.
We constantly strive to ensure that inclusivity and diversity sit at the heart of everything we do. We are a founding partner of the Diversity School Initiative, which addresses under-representation and the lack of diversity in performing arts education, and we recently won an Industry Minds award for our approach to mental health awareness, support and action.
We are more than just a school, more than just a college, more than just a place to work. We revel in allowing creativity to shine, we work hard and we laugh a lot!
The energy and passion at ArtsEd are tangible. We are a small, close-knit team, committed to supporting all of our students to achieve their best. We offer competitive salaries and our size means that we are able to provide tailored opportunities for staff to develop their skills and experience through internal and external programmes.
The health & wellbeing of our staff is a key focus and we have teamed up with Simply Health to offer a family-wide health plan that includes the following:
