Open Evenings & Visits

We encourage all prospective pupils to come and visit.  Spending just an hour in our Chiswick home will quickly convey the energy, engagement and positivity that is at the heart of the ArtsEd experience.

Our Open Evenings took place on 14th September. If you wish to know about other open events available or to book a visit, please visit this page.

If you have any questions about admissions or the audition process outlined below, please do not hesitate to send an e-mail or give us a call.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Admissions Overview

We audition everyone who applies to ArtsEd. The majority of pupils join the school in either Year 7 or 12, although we also welcome pupils into Years 8 and 9. As we start the curriculum for some of our key GCSE courses in Year 9, we are unable to accept applications for Year 10.

Prospective pupils spend a day in the school with the other applicants, allowing them to get a taste of life here, at the same time as we get to know them. Our staff are very warm and welcoming, and make the day as enjoyable as possible. On the audition day, everyone takes part in the following:

  • ice-breaking sessions
  • vocational skills workshops
  • written tests in English and Maths
  • an individual audition
  • an interview with a senior member of staff (to which parents are invited)

References from the applicant’s current school and past school reports are also taken into consideration.

Application for 2024 Entry

The auditions have already taken place for entry to the Day School in September 2024; however, we are aware that circumstances might mean that students wish to join the School at other stages of the year as part of their academic and vocational journey, or indeed after the conclusion of our annual audition cycle. Occasionally places will become available and that enables us to be flexible and support such applications.  Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis, and we encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible.  If you would like to arrange a visit then please click below, or contact us 020 8987 6600  |  pupils@artsed.co.uk:
