Drama (Years 7-9) is a unique (and fun!) mix of Stage Acting and Acting for Camera over 3 hours.

Young people learn about each in equal measure as the sessions are split 50/50, just like the BA Acting degree students here at ArtsEd!

Skills and techniques are developed, and confidence built, through games, activities, and projects that encourage learning and teamwork.

Stage Acting classes cover:

• Improvisation

• Movement

• Script & ensemble work

Screen Acting classes focus on:

• Learning how to ‘act for camera’

• Technical skills such as crew roles, how to operate camera equipment, angles & continuity
• Scene work

Each class lasts 1 hour and 20 minutes with a 20 minute break in between.

Parent/Carer Information:

Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move around in and soft shoes or trainers. Please bring a bottle of water and a snack (strictly no nuts).

Please note: If you would like your child to be in a group with their friend please include their full name when booking. We cannot change groups once they have been formed.
