We audition everyone who applies to ArtsEd. The majority of pupils join the school in either Year 7 or 12, although we also welcome pupils into Years 8 and 9. As we start the curriculum for some of our key GCSE courses in Year 9, we are unable to accept applications for Year 10.
Prospective pupils spend a day in the school with the other applicants, allowing them to get a taste of life here, at the same time as we get to know them. Our staff are very warm and welcoming, and make the day as enjoyable as possible. On the audition day, everyone takes part in the following:
References from the applicant’s current school and past school reports are also taken into consideration.
Audition Dates for 2025 entry:
The deadlines for Day School entry 2025 are
25th October 2024 for auditions on 4th November 2024
14th February 2025 for auditions on 27th February 2025
Application for 2024 Entry
The auditions have already taken place for entry to the Day School in September 2024; however, we are aware that circumstances might mean that students wish to join the School at other stages of the year as part of their academic and vocational journey, or indeed after the conclusion of our annual audition cycle. Occasionally places will become available and that enables us to be flexible and support such applications. Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis, and we encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible.
