‘I think maybe there are no more new stories – not that we’ve said everything there is to say – but maybe this is the end of something – or maybe it should be – maybe all this has to burn down’
Maeve and her siblings have lived in this apartment for as long as they can remember, but tomorrow the tower block will be burnt to the ground. They should pack, probably, but the memories of their lives in this place – and of those who have left them – make it difficult to walk away.
John Haidar trained at RADA and was selected for the National Theatre Directors’ Course. His recent directing work includes Disco Pigs (Trafalgar Studios & Irish Repertory Theatre, New York), Richard III (Headlong), Othello (Cambridge Arts Theatre) and Afterplay (Coronet Theatre).
Booking is by invitation only.
