The best week EVER!

ArtsEd’s Mini Musical is exactly that – all the fun, singing, and dancing of a musical, in just four action-packed mornings at our Chiswick home!

Our expert tutors will get the very best out of your little stars, supporting and encouraging them as they create characters and stories around a musical theme. The course teaches basic performing techniques through playful games and drama exercises, and participants are encouraged to use their imagination and creativity throughout. At the same time as exploring the wonderful world of performing arts in a fun and encouraging environment, young participants will also develop a lot of key skills including:

At the end of the week, the group will perform their mini musical. Giving your child the opportunity to shine in front of an appreciative audience of parents and friends. It’s a heartwarming experience that will leave lasting memories for both you and your child.

Play in a Week 7-10

Our Play in a Week course is a fun-packed five days. Participants flex their creative muscles, make new friends and experience the joy of the performing arts. Our expert tutors guide and support them  as they create a play from scratch, sharing it on the last day with family and friends!

The course is suitable for complete beginners, no experience is necessary, whilst those with some previous performing under their belt will be encouraged to develop and improve.

West End Week 16+

Do you want to take your musical theatre skills to the next level? Then this is the course for you.

Get a taste of life in the musical theatre industry from professionals who are performing in the West End right now! Experts in singing, dancing and acting, our friendly and experienced tutors are true ‘triple threats’.

Participants will be encouraged to develop their skills and challenge themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment.  You don’t need to be a superstar performer already, you just need to have the energy and enthusiasm to give it you all and get stuck in.

Every day is different, with two song and dance routines to learn each day, with different performers from the West End. You will be learning original choreography, so be prepared for a challenge! But remember, this course is all about developing your skills and improving your confidence, so don’t worry if you are quite new to it all!

Acting for Stage & Screen 11-15

Does your teen want to take their acting skills to the next level?

Introducing participants to essential stage and screen techniques, this course builds skills and confidence, honing teamwork, encouraging creativity and building a strong foundation of skills for aspiring performers.

Participants work as a company, with a professional actor/director expertly leading them in drama games, rehearsal exercises and technique based sessions. The skills developed will be put into practice with the creation of a screen duologue and short piece of work for the stage.

No previous experience is necessary, just an interest in drama and acting and a willingness to get stuck in!

Those with more experience will be encouraged to develop their skills to a higher level in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Musical Theatre Youth 11-15

A week full of singing, dancing and acting? What’s not to love?

Musical theatre performers do it all – sing, dance, act… and at the same time. If your child loves the idea of becoming a ‘triple threat’, this course is a great place to start. They’ll get a real taste of what it’s like to be a musical theatre performer, learning from expert professionals, who are working in the profession right now.

Participants learn new skills and develop their technique during morning sessions in singing, dancing and acting, exploring different styles in each area. Afternoons are spent working together on song and dance routines and scenes from a range of shows, ready for an end-of-week performance for family and friends.

The course is ideal for beginners, our expert and friendly tutors create a supportive and encouraging environment for learning new skills. It’s also a great course for those that have already done some singing and dancing, who will be encouraged to challenge themselves and improve their skills by our skilled tutors.

Two musical theatre songs. One should be a ‘legit’ ballad written no later than 1965 (e.g. ‘If I Loved You’ from Carousel), and the other should provide a contrast (and be something you enjoy singing). Please bring sheet music with you.
