Five students receive the Ian Fleming Award for Musical Theatre in 2026

ArtsEd’s School of Musical Theatre is delighted to announce that Jamila Clare, Joe Morton, Juliette Pierce, Harry Alexander Shaw and Lillie-Mae Woodbridge have obtained Ian Fleming Award’s and have received funding to advance their studies.

Initiated in 1980, the Ian Fleming Charitable Trust Music Education Awards, in collaboration with Help Musicians, have been steadfast in their support of exceptionally talented young musicians, aiding them with the financial challenges of higher education.

For those students on the cusp of their final year in Musical Theatre, there’s an opportunity to receive up to £5,000 in financial support, aimed at offsetting study and living expenses for the next academic chapter.

We are thrilled to announce that Jamila Clare, Joe Morton, Juliette Pierce, Harry Alexander Shaw and Lillie-Mae Woodbridge have not only met the criteria but excelled in their applications and auditions, earning them this year’s coveted Ian Fleming Award for Musical Theatre.

One of the recipients, Joe Morton, said of the award:

“I am delighted to have been awarded the prestigious Ian Fleming Help Musicians Award. This award means a great deal to me, recognizing the hard work and dedication I have put into my training while giving me valuable mentoring and financial support as I continue working towards my goals. I am incredibly grateful and proud to have been chosen, and I would like to sincerely thank my teachers at ArtsEd for sharing this fantastic opportunity and supporting my application.”

Congratulations to you all! ArtsEd is immensely proud and look forward to seeing you grow as performers in your third, and final, year of training with us.
